Microsoft Internet Explorer - conditional comments test page for pavuk (<!--[if IE ...]> <![endif]-->)

In the box below, several lines of text should appear in your browser if you are looking at this page using Microsoft Internet Explorer (any version). The lines should each read something like this: "According to the conditional comment this is Internet Explorer xyz" where "xyz" is empty or a version description. This should match up with your actual version (see the 'Help' menu in your browser, then select 'About').

Note: this is a test page for pavuk, to see if it can correctly spider/collect the stylesheets hidden inside the MSIE conditional comments.

Next to a few additional extras in this page, the real test code is in the header and looks like this:

<!--[if IE 6]> <link href="conditional_comments_test_ccs_ie6.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <![endif]-->

<!--[if IE 7]> <link href="conditional_comments_test_ccs_ie7.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <![endif]-->

so a good result is when your spider fetches both CSS files referenced here (conditional_comments_test_ccs_ie6.css and conditional_comments_test_ccs_ie7.css)

Other test cases

We offer additional test cases for use with pavuk ('make check') on this site. These include:
